Penn Procurement Services manages the approved suppliers database at Penn. To become an approved supplier, a business must either be awarded a centrally managed contract for goods or services, or be requested to be added by a Penn faculty or staff member, and then approved by Procurement Services. Enterprise Center
The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center of Pennsylvania at The Enterprise Center, is a diversity supplier development initiative designed to maximize business opportunities for qualified diversity suppliers interested in developing business relationships with participating purchasing organizations. Penn’s Procurement Services team works closely with the Enterprise Center to identify diversity-owned organizations that can compete for business at the University.
The Enterprise Center engages interested diversity suppliers to evaluate supplier capabilities and capacity, and help develop their business. The Enterprise Center also assists partner purchasing organizations with supplier tracking and performance management activities.

Diversity-owned suppliers interested in establishing new business or expanding a current relationship with the University of Pennsylvania should contact Victoria Hosendorf at the Enterprise Center (215) 895-4046 to enroll in this diversity supplier development program.
eBusiness Requirements and Support
The University of Pennsylvania utilizes an automated procure-to-pay system for University buying. This can cause challenges for certain new businesses. Penn Procurement Services offers support and training to qualified suppliers that have successfully completed the PA MBEC Supplier Assessment Program.
