New security features added to the Penn Supplier Portal

As part of Penn's ongoing commitment to safeguarding sensitive information, we have worked with our solution provider, Jaggaer, to implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users accessing the Penn supplier portal.

In the coming days, all suppliers and payees will be required to use MFA when logging in to the Penn Supplier Portal. MFA adds an extra layer of protection to supplier portal accounts by requiring credentials beyond the traditional username and password. This added security measure helps prevent unauthorized access and ensures that only authorized users have control over their portal profile.

Why Move to Multi- Factor Authentication:
Data security and privacy are of utmost importance to us. Cyber threats continue to evolve, and we believe that implementing MFA is a proactive measure to protect your sensitive data from unauthorized access, phishing attempts, and potential fraud.

How Multi- Factor Authentication Works:

  1. Traditional Credentials: Suppliers/payees will still log in using existing username and password, which serve as the first authentication factor.
  2. Second Factor Verification: After entering their credentials, the portal user will be prompted to provide a One-Time Password (OTP) that was sent to the registered email address before allowing access to the Penn Supplier Portal.
  3. Upon entering the second-factor authentication, portal users will gain access to the Penn Supplier Portal and can perform queries/transactions as usual.

What You Need to Do:
You needn’t take any immediate steps, however, to protect your data and to ensure a seamless transition and uninterrupted access to the Penn Supplier Portal, you will be required to enable Multi-Factor Authentication on your next login. If you encounter any issues or need assistance with the setup, a dedicated support team is available at 1-800-233-1121 to assist.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to enhance the security of our supplier portal. Your trust in our institution is essential to us, and we are committed to providing a safe and secure platform for all financial transactions.

Sincerely,
Penn Procurement Services
